KONYX stops safely a human being by catching his leg and furthermore immobilizing him.
While its opening cannot be forced, it offers a soft but powerfull grip that is not harmful and self adapts to the size of the caught member. Nothing comparable with gun, flash-ball or taser.
Until now, vandalism was remaining an unsolved problem because public servants interventions are always occurring after a delay and once the masked individual had achieved his misdeed, he could escape rapidly.
This new device is proceeding concomitantly to the offender’s infamy (intrusion, theft, vandalism) for a flagrant arrest. Furthermore, once the offender is arrested and sentenced he can be sued by the insurance company and the offended.

Konyx System is an harmless public safety tool that offers an efficient answer to that unsolved problem, mounted on a land drone, it will help law enforcement authorities by immobilizing safely dangerous individuals and rioters during specific missions.

DEPLOYMENT PROCESS:
- A group of Konyx drones patrol between the police and the rioters, which makes it possible to repel the rioters and put the police out of reach of the projectile jets.
- Each drone is equipped with several cameras. As soon as a drone registers an illegal action, the operator immobilizes the perpetrator. When several individuals are immobilized, the police can approach to make the arrests while being protected by the drones dispersing other rioters which reduces the risks for the police.
- Subsequently, the judge views the video recording of the facts committed and the ensuing flagrant arrest, which allows for an immediate and proportionate conviction.

- An agent, located in the control center, carries out video surveillance of several sites equipped with Konyx drones.
- When, on a site, an intrusion is detected, the agent intervenes immediately by remotely controlling a drone in order to immobilize the offender and then call the police.

Who are we ?
KONYX is a start-up created in September 2021 – looking for funding.
Our approach is part of a perspective of easing social tensions which, underlined by burning news and stemming from an already heavy security context, are exacerbated by the opposition of political speeches and do not favor a factual and non-partisan analysis of the situation.
We propose to share a simple observation : the action of the police forces to impose the maintenance of order is limited by the very nature of the tools composing their arsenal: truncheons, tear gas, flash-ball, tasers and grenades.
Indeed, their effectiveness is based only on their ability to inflict a high level of pain and thus, these non-lethal weapons must be used sparingly to limit the number of serious injuries, which also limits the effectiveness of the police officers in their task of maintaining order.
Our proposal is to improve the arsenal made available to law enforcement with a new tool offering a painless coercion capability. KONYX is indeed the first active security device that allows direct, targeted and punctual action on an offender. Once immobilized in flagrant arrest and knowing oneself condemned, the individual is rendered harmless.

The deterrent force of these drones will scare away targeted and malicious individuals and thus improve public safety by solving complex problems related to demonstrations, vandalism, high-risk police engagement and crowd protection.
In parallel with the presentation of this security drone, we propose a fixed security device, performing the same binding and painless action with respect to offenders, and making it possible to protect public and private sites from theft, intrusion and vandalism.
Our current action plan consists in finding a good balance between the creation of solid partnerships with subcontracting companies for the outsourcing of production and the optimized financing of internal production, which will allow us to pursue and achieve our goals.
On the operational level, supported by a solid PCT patent, (PCT/FR2021/000100) the objectives of this project first consisted in the production of a 1/2 scale prototype, which demonstrated the perfect functionality of the invention.
A full-size prototype being finalized, it will validate the full effectiveness of the system in terms of speed, solidity and resistance to stress forces.
The next step is to entrust a design office with the production of a pre-industrial prototype respecting the norms and standards of the market. The realization by a team of engineers of such a prototype requires a high level of investment.
To do this, a restructuring phase is underway, with the aim of presenting more appropriate statuses for financing by bank loans.
