Who are we ?
KONYX is a start-up created in September 2021 – looking for funding.
Our approach is part of a perspective of easing social tensions which, underlined by burning news and stemming from an already heavy security context, are exacerbated by the opposition of political speeches and do not favor a factual and non-partisan analysis of the situation.
We propose to share a simple observation : the action of the police forces to impose the maintenance of order is limited by the very nature of the tools composing their arsenal: truncheons, tear gas, flash-ball, tasers and grenades.
Indeed, their effectiveness is based only on their ability to inflict a high level of pain and thus, these non-lethal weapons must be used sparingly to limit the number of serious injuries, which also limits the effectiveness of the police officers in their task of maintaining order.
Our proposal is to improve the arsenal made available to law enforcement with a new tool offering a painless coercion capability. KONYX is indeed the first active security device that allows direct, targeted and punctual action on an offender. Once immobilized in flagrant arrest and knowing oneself condemned, the individual is rendered harmless.
During riots, breakers and looters may accomplish their infamies and vanish in the crowd.
And public opinion accepts with difficulty that the regular protester becomes a victim of violence from the police. “Konyx System” is the perfect solution to this unsolved problem, by immobilizing safely dangerous individuals and at the same time not physically exposing law enforcement officers.
The deterrent force of these drones will scare away targeted and malicious individuals and thus improve public safety by solving complex problems related to demonstrations, vandalism, high-risk police engagement and crowd protection.
In parallel with the presentation of this security drone, we propose a fixed security device, performing the same binding and painless action with respect to offenders, and making it possible to protect public and private sites from theft, intrusion and vandalism.
Our current action plan consists in finding a good balance between the creation of solid partnerships with subcontracting companies for the outsourcing of production and the optimized financing of internal production, which will allow us to pursue and achieve our goals.
On the operational level, supported by a solid PCT patent, (PCT/FR2021/000100) the objectives of this project first consisted in the production of a 1/2 scale prototype, which demonstrated the perfect functionality of the invention.
A full-size prototype being finalized, it will validate the full effectiveness of the system in terms of speed, solidity and resistance to stress forces.
The next step is to entrust a design office with the production of a pre-industrial prototype respecting the norms and standards of the market. The realization by a team of engineers of such a prototype requires a high level of investment.
To do this, a restructuring phase is underway, with the aim of presenting more appropriate statuses for financing by bank loans.
